What does that mean????
You will write an essay in which you identify
the purpose this particular chapter contributes
towards the authors overall intentions for the
book. Then, you will analyze the authors use
of three (3) literary and/or stylistic techniques,
which help to achieve the chapters purpose, as
you have interpreted it. Introduction: Be sure to identify
The author and title of the book.
The chapter title.

you will examine to prove this purpose.
Body: For each of these three (3) paragraphs, you
should
Focus on one (1) specific literary and/or stylistic
device employed by the author to develop
the chapter.
Provide multiple examples of the literary and/or
stylistic device at work. Cite all paraphrased,
summarized and directly quoted information
using MLA format.
Provide commentary that directly connects the
evidence to the argument: how does this evidence
contribute to the authors purpose for the
chapter?

Summarize your main points.
Offer a final insightful comment that links the
chapters purpose to the authors intentions for
the entire memoir.
